KEY WEST, Florida — Come to Key West. Don’t miss out on all of the fun! The 2014 Key West Classic Regatta. The regatta features classic sailing vessels in multiple races, as well as parties, music, storytelling, and nautical fun in the sun. Enjoy a boat pa rade, tall ships racing, schooners and all types of sea vessels, it’s all historic, replica and modern ships taking part in this event. The boats are scheduled to come from the Chesapeak Bay and many parts of the west coast of Florida to join in this annual Key West racing event. the start time is at 10 a.m. on Monday off of Key West’s Fort Zachary Taylor Historic State Park. Cost to participate and get a seat on participating vessels is $75 a person. The price includes a lunch, the 2014 Regatta T-shirt, and of course, the evening awards ceremony and reception. The ships will be docking at the end of Margaret Street, so have your $5 ready to get a tour of the classic and amazing ships!
