Key West Mystery Fest includes Friday night reception at the Custom House Museum (with Heather Graham and Key West Mayor Teri Johnston), all panels and workshops at The Studios of Key West, Whodunit Awards event, book signings, luncheon & keynote speaker (Jeffery Deaver), Hemingway Rum Company/Papa's Pilar Distillery tour & sampling, and Sunday brunch overlooking historic Key West Harbor.

Marathon Beach Party & Fireworks Show

For one of the Keys’ largest and longest fireworks displays, families gather for a day of activities in Marathon including a patriotic parade that begins around 10:30 a.m. and proceeds from Marathon High School on Sombrero Beach Road (MM 50 oceanside) to free-admission Sombrero Beach, where a daylong celebration features food, drink, kids’ crafts and entertainment, capped off after dark with fireworks.

Marathon Marlin Tournament is a fun fishing tournament to enter! Teams will compete for marlin division trophies as well as fun fish awards for the three heaviest dolphin fish, wahoo and tuna (yellowfin, blackfin and skipjack). The top-scoring team in the tournament is to be entitled to free entry into the following week’s Key West Marlin Tournament. The tournament is based at the Faro Blanco Marine Resort.
