Whether you are a believer or a skeptic, this tour is entertaining, exciting, and creepy. You will hear awesome history and lore about the island, visit the cemetery at night, and hear about all the infamous paranormal activity that is supposedly to have occurred in Key West. It’s a nice diversion from doing shots and being out on the water all day. http://www.keywestghosthunt.com/
5. Rick’s Durty Harry’s
If you like bars, booze, and loud music, then you will love this place. This place is a Key West institution, and the nightlife doesn’t get anymore raucous and fun than it does here. Who wouldn’t get up and dance with a house band called the “Durtbags”?? Put your drinking shoes, er, flip-flops on, and come on down for a fun night filled with specials on shots, beers and loud music, along with 10 flat-screen TVs incase you want to keep an eye out on the big game. A trip to Key West wouldn’t be the same without a drink (or two, or three) at the one and only, world-famous Hog’s Breath Saloon. The bar features live music seven days a week. Acts change three times a day, so you’re guaranteed great-sounding music any time you stop by! 7. Fat Tuesdays
About a gazillion flavors of grown-up slurpees (ie., frozen cocktails) to choose from, loud music,
dancing, and hot bartenders. What else would you want from a bar? Nothing right? Well, this place has a bit more: offerings of extra shots in all drinks, drinks are served in insulated containers so they stay nice and icy-slushy, and fast and friendly service. http://www.partyinkeywest.com/members/fat_tuesday.html
8. Irish Kevin ‘s
This is the place you want to go to get wild. Keep in mind, the bar slogan is “I came, I drank, I don’t remember.” Every night, there is a different act¬—whether it’s a singer, comedian, or a drinking or dancing competition, there is always someone or something to get the crowd pumped up. A lot of the entertainment is pretty interactive with the patrons. This is a good ol’ joint where you can just sing ‘til you’re hoarse, drink ‘til you’re drunk, laugh ‘til you’re stomach hurts—and make some hilarious memories to take home with you. http://www.partyinkeywest.com/pages/keywestbars.html
9. Green Parrot’s live music
This is the local’s favorite dive bar, and has been voted Best Bar many times over. Walking up to the bar, you will think you are approaching an old shack. Walk inside, and you will find locals and tourists alike, boozing it up and listening to great live music. The acts here are always top-notch bands playing, and you can get your fill of real roots music, from blues, soul, country, African, and rock. The music is free, and the drinks are generous. 10. Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville
The home of the Original Cheeseburger in Paradise, this place is hyped for a good reason. The staff is super-friendly, the crowd is always up for fun, and it’s a great place to meet people. Fun place to stop for lunch, or dinner, but they also have a great happy hour with pretty sweet drink and nosh specials. As their website says, “Hey, it’s five o’clock somewhere!” http://www.partyinkeywest.com/pages/keywestbars.html
Blue Marlin Motel
This is our recommendation for a solid party hotel. It couldn’t be in a better location for Spring
Breakers: The price is right, there is a bike rental place right around the corner,), yet far enough away to escape the craziness to recoup. It’s a stone’s throw from the Southernmost Point, so you can steal a romantic kiss there or try to throw your drink across to Cuba if you aren’t getting lucky.
